Hard Times = Dumb People

I recently read an article on CNN.com that made me see red (I say recently like it was yesterday, actually it was a couple of months ago). The topic of the article was white supremacy groups, i.e. Neo-Nazis and the ever retarded KKK, and how in these hard economic times they are beginning to see a rise in their numbers. I understand that our nation has fallen on hard times and everyone is seeking an answer. Hatred, my friends, is NEVER the answer.

These groups thrive off of hate filled lies and propaganda that belittle other races, creeds, religions, and cultures. In short they are paranoid, anger filled morons who blame other people for their problems instead of pointing a finger at themselves. Surely it was a someone else's fault that you lost your house that you couldn't afford but went ahead and bought anyways, along with the three cars you also couldn't afford, and then lost them all. No, it wasn't your fault you lived beyond your means, not at all.

My personal favorite would be the Neo-Nazis. These unevolved apes still like to follow a man whom I believe to be evil incarnate, Adolf Hitler. I, for one, love my country and the rights that I have living in it, including freedom of speech. But something gets under my skin whenever I see these assholes. Men like my grandfather did not storm the beaches of Normandy, watch their friends and fellow soldiers get mowed down in the hedgerows, and barely survive the freezing winter in knee deep snow in the forests of Bastogne so that you can condone the very thing they were fighting against. Lets not forget that Hitler and the Nazis almost eradicated an entire race of people. To wave that flag and march around spouting hate phrases in German is a slap in the face to every single man and woman that served in Europe in WWII. You should all take your happy asses back to the Fatherland and preach your crap there and stop disrespecting the brave people that risked and, in alot of cases, gave their lives protecting our freedoms from Nazi Germany.

I'm sure that another reason we are seeing a rise in these groups is that we now have a president who is not white. People, I am growing weary of race still being a major factor in our culture. If someone is right for the job, no matter what it is, then the job should be theirs without race or gender playing a major role. Barack Obama was the right man for the job and if Hillary had gotten the nomination over him, she would've had my vote too. For those of you reading this that want to say I'm just a liberalist Democrat, I'm a registered Republican. Although, with the way the Republican party acts anymore, that will soon change.

There are those, including people that I am very close to, that belive Obama is nothing short of the anti-Christ. In my opinion these ideas stem from an older generation and a way of living that is scared of change. Our world and our culture is evolving and those that are not growing with it are going to be left behind. They will end up sitting a dark room in their house, scared to go outside because the world they knew and loved is long gone. Little do they know the world that is out there may be better than they could ever imagine. A world that preaches love, understanding, and acceptance for your fellow human being. Thats right, we are all of the same species no matter what some think and say.

I, for one, usually do not think well of politicians. I think most of them are two-faced liars and backstabbers. They act like they are for the people when, in reality, they have their own agendas that only include themselves and their rich buddies. I do believe, though, that we finally have someone in office who cares about the fate of this nation. Not only is the man overly intelligent, but he seems like your everyday normal guy that you might strike up a conversation with standing in line at the grocery store. I am proud to say that Barack Obama is President of the United States of America and leader of the free world. Change is here folks, it's time to get with the program.

In conclusion, yes, we are in some very tough times, but we have gotten through tougher times before and we will get through these. To turn to hate is nothing short of ingorance. Narrowmindedness can be a very, very scary thing. In the words of a wise short little green man, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side."
